Senior Management;

Richard Jackson - Managing Director

My background is accountancy and property management having left Sheffield Hallam University with a Ba Hons. in Accountancy & Finance. In 2001 I acquired a 50% stake in SOS Homecare Ltd and in 2005 I bought the other 50%. Since then I have acheived my NVQ Level 4 Registered Manager Award, my NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care and my teaching qualifications. I am passionate about SOS Homecare delivering the very best standards of care to our service users.

Jo Hancock - Operations Manager

I joined SOS Homecare as the Operations Director in November 2014, having relocated from London. I have over 14 years experience working in housing, health and social care management, and have been a senior manager since 2003.  During my career I have successfully undertaken a variety of training courses and qualifications in management and leadership.  I am passionate about providing the best possible services, and am looking forward to the challenges ahead.

Chris Atherton - Director of Business Improvement

I joined SOS Homecare in August 2012, having spent the previous six years managing health and social care services. Prior to employment I left Loughborough University in 2006 having obtained a Bsc Hons. Management Science. I have since achieved my Leadership & Management in Care award (NVQ Level 5). I am now responsible for developing the business in relation to financial growth and quality improvements; a role that I thoroughly enjoy.


Joanne Parkes - Finance Director

I joined SOS in July 2014.  I started working in Finance way back in 1985, and even though I was very resistant I found it is the work I enjoyed the most.  I worked at Herbert Watson for 11 years and then moved to Reedham which went onto become Aldermore Bank where I spent 15 years.  I have not worked within the care industry before and I have found it very exciting learning what’s involved.  I have always been committed to making a difference within the teams I have worked in and I am determined that will include SOS Homecare.

Gareth Rogerson - Business Development Director

I am responsible for bringing in new business and developing new links within the social care sector. I have previously worked overseeing the day to day care Management of contracts, ensuring the service is managed in line with CQC requirements. I have worked within the care sector for over 18 years in all aspects of domiciliary care services and supported living.
