SOS Homecare were extremely proud to receive the Dignity in Care award from Traffford Council in January 2013. The award recognises the efforts of our employees to ensure that the company's values are upheld when caring for and supporting vulnerable individuals in the Trafford Borough. The company ensures that employees who are recruited have the right values, receive training at induction on the company's values, and conduct regular quality checks to ensure these values are upheld.
Contractors Health & Safety Scheme (CHAS) is not only the largest but also the fastest growing health and safety assessment scheme in the UK, dedicated to completing health and safety pre-qualification assessments to a nationally recognised and accepted threshold standard. The compnay was accreditated with CHAS in June 2013 following a successful assessment of our Health & Safety systems and practices. The company prides itself on maintaining a safe working environment for its employees and visitors, as well as those we care for and support. The company expects to maintain its accreditation with CHAS following annual re-assessments of our working practices.
SOS Homecare Limited are proud to have been awarded the 'Positive about Disabled People' award and this reinforces our non-discrimatory approach to recruitment. The Social Care Commitment is the adult social care sector's promise to provide people who need care and support with high quality services.It is made up of seven 'I will' statements, with associated tasks. Each commitment will focus on the minimum standards required when working in care.
